PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an exhaust passage of the air of a machine room and to form an accommodating part of electric equipment part on a part not giving the bad influence on the cooling in a storage without impairing the effect of a refrigerator a back face of which can be mounted in a state of being kept into contact with a wall of a room such as a kitchen, in consideration of a problem found in the technology forming vertical air passages for allowing the air in the machine room to raise therein, on ridge parts at left and right of the back face of the refrigerator, that a base of the electric equipment is enlarged to display a number of functions, and a large recessed part must be formed on the back face of the refrigerator to accommodate the base, as a result, an mounting area of a vacuum heat insulating material is limited by the large recessed part for accommodating the base. SOLUTION: A vertical air passage of the notch shape for allowing the air in the machine room to raise therein, is formed on a part along one of the left and right ridge parts of the back face of a refrigerator main body, and the recessed part for accommodating the electric equipment where an electric circuit component of the refrigerator is mounted, is formed in a state of vertically long on a part along the other ridge part.
