PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the cracking of a top plate 2 when it is subjected to a great load. SOLUTION: The glass top cooking stove has a top plate 2 formed of a glass for covering a stove body at its upper face. In the top plate 2, a stove opening 3 is provided which a burner 4 faces as a heat source provided on the stove body 1. A metal protecting ring 12 is mounted at the opening edge of the stove opening 3.
