<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement turbocharger for improving control precision in exhaust flow rate by preventing exhaust flow at an inner periphery scroll section from being disturbed when a control valve is closed, and preventing the opening of an inflow opening from changing radically at the opening starting period and closing ending period of the inflow opening by the operation of the control valve in the variable displacement turbocharger of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: An inner periphery surface 26a at the side of the inner periphery scroll section 24 in the control valve 26 is formed to compose the scroll section, and to compose an inner periphery surface 29a in an introduction scroll section 29 that gradually and smoothly changes the section while retaining a circle or an elliptic shape from an exhaust inlet 21a to an inlet position 24a of the inner periphery scroll section 24, and forms a groove 26b in the direction of the exhaust flow of the scroll section on the inner periphery surface 26a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
