<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving the strength over the entire part of the device by improving the strength on the periphery of a side face holding mechanism section. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a liquid crystal panel 12, a light guide plate 14 for illuminating the liquid crystal panel, a bezel 16 for covering the peripheral part of the liquid crystal panel, a carrier frame 18 on which the liquid crystal panel is to be placed, screws for coupling the side walls of the bezel and the carrier frame and a back cover 20 having portions 34 extending beyond the positions of the screws from the back side of a back light and having holes 34a to pass the screws. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
