CODING APPARATUS IN INFORMATION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally attain the decoding processing of important information even on the occurrence of an error in the important information such as header information by providing error immunity capability to a bit sequence itself in a system wherein an image or the like subjected to compression coding is transmitted.

SOLUTION: A coding apparatus is used in an information transmission system wherein coded information including an image code sequence obtained by applying compression coding to an image signal to which a synchronizing signal and the header information required for decoding are attached is transmitted. The coding apparatus includes: a means that transmits coded information to which information having already been transmitted or part of the information, or information capable of decoding contents of the information or contents of the part information is attached in order to decode the coded information; and a means for inserting instruction information in a prescribed bit pattern denoting the attachment of the decoding information into the header information.
