PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide with a centrifugal separator provided with a new liquid separation function capable of extracting water-insoluble oil of which the specific density or the apparent specific density is very close to the specific density of the water-soluble coolant. SOLUTION: A centrifugal separator is provided with a base body 23 having a rotating cylinder 15 in which a water-soluble coolant containing water-insoluble oil or the like is flown in, an oil recovery chamber 19 recovering a small specific density water-insoluble oil discharged from the upper part of the rotating cylinder 15, a discharge outlet 21 discharging the water-insoluble oil, a coolant recovery chamber 20 recovering a high specific density water-soluble coolant which is provided at the lower part of the rotating cylinder 15, and a water-soluble coolant discharge outlet 22 discharging the water-soluble coolant. L-shaped pipes 52 which end surfaces are slantwise-shaped are provided at very close position with end surfaces of inside notched parts 51 of blades 14 between the center of rotating cylinder 15 from the upper part of the base body 23 and the end surfaces of the inside notched parts 51 of the blades 14 fixed in the direction of rotation axis 27 from the cylindrical part inner circumference 33 of the rotating cylinder 15.
