PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light scanner in which the accuracy of the emitting timing of a light beam emitted synchronized with the action of a light beam scanning part is improved, and to provide a method of adjusting the light beam emitting timing. SOLUTION: In the light scanner provided with a light emitting part 8 which intermittently emits light beams, a light scanning part 4 which deflects and scans the light beam, a driving signal generation part 6 which supplies a driving signal having a predetermined driving period to a driving part 5 of the light scanning part 4, an emitting timing control part 7 which controls the emitting timing of the light beam of the light emitting part 8 on the basis of the driving signal, the emitting timing control part 7 is so formed to adjust the emitting timing of the light beam by compensating the phase difference between the driving signal and the action of the light scanning part 4.
