PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box for storing a metal roll body capable of forming in advance a folding-back line when a band-like portion cut out of a metal roll body is to be folded back, capable of keeping a folding-back length substantially constant and at the same time capable of easily cutting the band-like portion even if a protrusion length of a cutting blade is made short. SOLUTION: Some features of a box of the present invention consist in the fact that a perforation line having a substantial U shape is formed in advance at a part where an opening 36 of a box body 30 is formed, a line connecting both ends of the perforation line is applied as a folding-back line AL, tips 42, 44 of the tongue pieces mountain-folded along the folding-back line AL are inserted into slits 46, 48 formed at the side opposite to the perforation line and a protrusion 52 of a substantial triangular shape is formed in an upper area of the folding-back line.
