There is provided a wireless AV system for establishing a communication pair and recognizing it. When a communication pair not intended by a user is erroneously established between a plurality of AV devices, it is notified to the user. The wireless AV system includes at least one transmission side device and at least one reception side device. The transmission side device has means for issuing its device ID to the reception side device. The reception side device has means for storing the device ID received from the transmission side device.
