<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that contents shown on a display screen in the guidance display of an image forming apparatus indicate the position of a jam occurrence and a jam processing procedure in the entire view or enlarged view (detail view) of the apparatus, therefore, if a user who is going to perform the jam processing is not used to perform the operation, it is difficult to follow the jam processing detail procedure because the screen is small in the guidance display using the entire view of the apparatus, or it is difficult to know the position of the jam occurrence because only part of the apparatus is shown in the guidance display using the enlarged view. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has two or more conveyance paths for conveying paper. An LCD display 104 for showing the position of a jam occurrence in one of the conveyance paths schematically displays the position of the jam occurrence in the external view of the apparatus.
