<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bat for the baseball or the softball having a ball hitting part with a laminated structure and sufficiently securing the strength of a tapered part without increasing the weight of the bat, complicating the manufacturing process and increasing the manufacturing cost, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This bat for the baseball or the softball is provided with the ball hitting part 3, a grip part 5 having the outside diameter smaller than that of the ball hitting part 3, a metal external pipe 6a provided between the ball hitting part 3 and the grip part 5 and including the tapered part 4 whose outside diameter is gradually reduced from the ball hitting part 3 toward the grip part 5 and an internal pipe 6b inserted into and joined with the ball hitting part 3 of the external pipe 6a.
