PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for disinfecting soil by which the soil within a range of crop planting depth in a field can surely be disinfected in a short time and even economic efficiency and operating efficiency are good, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: There are provided a field moving body (100) having an underground traveling part (A) and an above-ground traveling part (B), microwave radiators (21a to 21d) held by the underground traveling part (A) of the field moving body (100), microwave generating sources (31a to 31d) held by the above-ground traveling part (B) of the field moving body (100) and waveguides (41a to 41d) connecting the microwave generating sources (31a to 31d) held by the above-ground traveling part (B) to the microwave radiators (21a to 21d) held by the underground traveling part (A).
