Supporting structure (1) comprises a longitudinal support (2) arranged on the vehicle side and connected to an end transversal support (4) in an end section on the front or rear side. The transversal support has an outer shell (5) facing the end of the vehicle and an inner shell (6) facing away from the end of the vehicle. The longitudinal support penetrates the inner shell in an opening formed in the inner shell and is fixed to the inner shell in the region of the opening.
