PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handsfree telephone having high convenience for a user. SOLUTION: A mount 1 is provided for mounting a portable telephone for a handsfree call. An antenna 2 mounted in the mount 1 has receiving characteristics for most powerfully receiving radio waves from the portable telephone 30 mounted on the mount 1. When a plurality of portable telephones 30, 40 answer to an inquiry for radio connection from a handsfree apparatus 100, the handsfree telephone selects the portable telephone 30 having the highest strength of a radio signal received by the antenna 2, and is wirelessly connected by Bluetooth (R) radio communication.
