METHOD FOR INSPECTING GLIDE OF MAGNETIC DISK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably inspecting the glide of a magnetic disk and to provide a method for manufacturing an inexpensive magnetic disk that can give sophisticated quality assurance and is suitable for high-density recording. SOLUTION: In the method, the glide test of the magnetic disk is performed by using a glide head floating and flying above the magnetic disk. The glide head whose surface roughness is larger than that of the magnetic disk is selected. The selected glide head is used for the inspection.
