PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display device which allows a display part to be switched from a horizontally long state to a vertically long state by one action and allows the display part to be rotated around an approximate center part of the display part. SOLUTION: The thin display device is provided with; a thin display part 1 having an approximately rectangular display surface; a stand part 2 supporting the display part 1; and a horizontal revolving shaft 3 which is fixed to an approximate center part of the rear side of the display part 1 and holds the display part 1 so that the display part 1 can be rotated at least at 90°with respect to the stand part 2, and the thin display device is provided with translating operation means 21, 22, and 23 which translate the display part 1 in the vertical direction in accordance with rotating operation of the horizontal revolving shaft 3.
