The invention relates to writing devices and is directed at teaching children how to write and can be used by adults for easing writing. The inventive device for teaching how to write consists of a body provided with guiding elements for arranging the first phalanx of the index finger and an element provided with a hole for a writing tool. The novelty of the invention lies in that the body is embodied in a shaped form and provided with a hole for the writing tool, and is additionally provided with the guiding elements for arranging the first and partially second phalanges of the thumb and middle finger. The novelty also lies in that the shaped body is additionally provided with a shaped arrester for the thumb base. The novelty lies in that the shaped body is embodied in an integral manner with the writing tool body. Said invention makes it possible to fix the hand in such a way that the position thereof during writing corresponds to the right position from the point of view of the existing writing technique.
