摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent torque shock in changing speed of a stepped transmission while improving regeneration efficiency of a trap means by additionally injecting fuel so as to allow regeneration of the trap means for a predetermined period during changing the speed, in an exhaust emission control device in which an oxidation catalyst and the trap means are disposed to an exhaust passage. <P>SOLUTION: The oxidation catalyst 28a and a filter 28b arranged downstream of the oxidation catalyst to trap particulate are disposed to the exhaust passage 26 of the engine 1. To regenerate the filter 28b, an injector 5 provided in a combustion chamber of the engine 1 additionally injects the fuel at least once between an expansion stroke and an exhaust stroke. A vehicle mounting the engine 1 thereon further has the stepped transmission 44. In changing the speed of the transmission 44, execution of main injection is suppressed and execution of the additional injection for the regeneration of the filter is continued. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
