PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus which can obtain images of a high image quality regardless of varieties of recording media or an environment condition where ink hardening is carried out when executing image recording with the use of a photo-curing type ink. SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus 1 is equipped with recording heads 10 and 10 for discharging one or a plurality of ink including a photo-curing component onto a recording medium P, and ultraviolet irradiation devices 11 and 11 for hardening the ink by casting light to the ink impacting on the recording medium P. The image recording apparatus 1 has an open air sensor 15 for detecting an open air temperature or both of a temperature and a humidity, and a control part 17 for controlling an image recording condition according to an open air temperature condition or a temperature/humidity condition detected by the open air sensor 15.
