FAILURE-RESISTANT AND CONTENTION-REDUCTION EXECUTION METHOD FOR ASYNCHRONOUS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, AND EXCLUSIVE INSTRUCTION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To withstand existence of a processor stop failure stopping unexpectedly in an asynchronous common object system; to execute instructions by controlling waiting time under a value that is not influenced with the number of processors; and to guarantee reliable and stable service quality. SOLUTION: The asynchronous common object system has a realizing mechanism, having the functions for controlling the waiting time under values that are not influenced by the number of processors, regarding a failure-resistant agreement method using instructions which inseparably perform reading of one common object and writing to the other common object in a common memory system asynchronously operating multiple processors and execution of the agreement method by limiting a range of applicable values of a variable as a target of writing. A processor, making agreement with an inseparable instruction for reading and writing of a single variable without contentions is selected by the failure-resistant mutual agreement method; the processor executes by independently terminating an instruction at the basis of information for arguments of the instruction of the processor which is agreed by the other processor; and accordingly, waiting time caused by processing of the other processor is reduced.
