PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the driving amount in an optical axis direction while decreasing the driving load required for the rotation of a cam cylinder in a lens barrel where a plurality of lens holding members are driven by the cam cylinder. SOLUTION: The lens barrel is equipped with the cam cylinder 30 turnably supported and a plurality of lens holding members 51 and 71 supported to freely move back and forth in an optical axis direction L and having follower pins 52 and 72 respectively, and a cam groove in which the follower pin 52 of the member 51 is inserted and a cam groove in which the follower pin 72 of the member 71 are formed of different acting areas 31 and 32 formed separately to act cam action in the optical axis direction L and a common insertion area 33 which is formed so that the follower pins 52 and 72 are inserted and which does not act the cam action. Thus, the cam groove is made longer while making a pressure angle small, and the driving amount (moving amount to move in the optical axis direction) of the cam groove is increased.
