PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic governor for an engine, measuring an engine temperature in engine start without using a water temperature sensor to adjust a control gain. SOLUTION: A solenoid temperature detection means 7 is provided to detect a temperature of a solenoid 1 based on an internal resistance value of the solenoid 1. The solenoid temperature detection means 7 detects the solenoid temperature within a predetermined time after the engine start, and adjusts the control gain based on the solenoid temperature. The solenoid temperature detection means 7 calculates an applied current value of the solenoid 1 based on a resistance value and a voltage value between terminals of a current detection resistance 21, calculates a voltage value between terminals and a power supply voltage value of the solenoid 1 based on the voltage value between terminals of the current detection resistance 21, and calculates the internal resistance value of the solenoid 1 based on the applied current value and voltage value between terminals of the solenoid 1.
