PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply wrapped oil application roller in which a porous film can be fixed so as to prevent movement of the porous film forming an application quantity control layer. SOLUTION: The oil application roller has an oil hold layer round a core shaft and the oil application quantity control layer on the outside of the oil hold layer. In the oil application roller, both its end faces are covered with folded portions of the extended parts of both ends of the porous film forming the oil application quantity control layer. The leading end of at least one of the folded portions covers part of the surface of the projecting parts of the core shaft on the end face side and is tightened with a tightening means from outside of the covered part.
