PURPOSE: A camshaft rotation detection structure is provided to improve accuracy in detecting a rotation angle of a camshaft and to prevent increase of the weight of the camshaft. CONSTITUTION: A camshaft rotation detection structure includes camshafts(2,3) each having a cam sprocket mechanism fastening end; cam thrust flanges(8,9) arranged to the camshafts near the cam sprocket mechanism fastening ends, to control the axial movement of the camshafts; detection targets arranged on the cam thrust flanges; and sensors(21) opposed to the detection targets, to detect rotation of the camshafts. |
