The method involves constraining the inner perimetric surface of the magnetic pole claws (2a,2g) of an intermediate blank by a die, and applying a forming pressure in a radial direction of the magnetic pole claws. A tapered surface (2f) and a permanent-magnet fastener (2d) are formed on the outer perimetric end and inner perimetric end (2c), respectively of each magnetic pole claw. The magnetic pole claws protrude in the same coaxial direction on the circumference of the intermediate blank. An independent claim is also included for a manufacturing method for generator.
