<p>The suspension parameters measurement system for a road vehicle has a central computer connected to force sensors and suspension height sensors on each wheel. An operating program is performed involving a data store and calculating circuits. The program involves:- (1) measuring static spring force (F FSTAT) with the vehicle at rest (20), (2) storage of the value obtained (22), (3) measurement of the dynamic spring force (F Fdyn) while the vehicle is moving (24), (4) calculating required damper force (F DSoll) from (F FSTAT) - (F Fdyn 26). .</p> |
