The assembly to needle bond a nonwoven has a needle board which is moved up and down in a reciprocating motion by an eccentric drive. A push rod, moving within a guide sleeve , links the needle board to the connecting rods of the eccentric shafts. The guide sleeves swing around an axis, parallel to the eccentric shafts. The two eccentric shafts have a different angle (psi ), and the connecting rods are angled towards each other.
