PURPOSE: A cable for air blow installation and an apparatus for manufacturing the same are provided to maximize friction forces between the cable in a pipe and air by forming a plurality of grooves at the surface of the cable. CONSTITUTION: A cable for an air flow installation comprises a transmission medium for transmitting one or more electrical or optical signals; and a tube(240) which accommodates the transmission medium therein, and has a hollow cylinder shape having a surface on which a plurality of grooves are formed. The transmission medium includes a ribbon optical fiber(210) having a plurality of optical fibers(222) and a protective layer(224) covering the optical fibers. The tube is made of an amorphous material containing a silicon.
