PURPOSE: A device for supplying a song practice function by using an MP3 file and a method therefor are provided to analyze MP3 files downloaded from a network or a CD, and to process the files by removing a predetermined sound signal, then to generate one file through a synchronization between the MP3 files. CONSTITUTION: An MP3 file download module(11) downloads MP3 files. A decoding module(12) decodes sound signals stored in the MP3 files to divide the signals into a sound signal and a voice signal. A voice signal removing module(14) removes the voice signal from the decoded sound signals, and leaves the sound signal only. An encoding module(16) encodes the sound signal removed with the voice signal in MP3 file type. A sound storage module(17) stores the encoded sound signal. A character storage module(19) stores a character signal. A synchronous file generation module(20) synchronizes the sound signal with the character signal, and generates one song practice file.
