<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault-tolerant computer system capable of using the same computer program to enhance fault-tolerance on a software level. <P>SOLUTION: Computer program execution environments (hardware environment, software environment, external connection device environment and program start environment) of a plurality of calculation nodes 1 are set so as to be respectively different, and the same computer program 4 is parallelly executed under the control of a management node 2 in the environments. Since a software fault is activated to manifest as a fault when a particular bug existing in a program being software falls into a particular state, the computer program execution environments of the plurality of calculation nodes 1 are respectively made to be different to parallelly execute the computer program 4, thereby preventing the particular state in which the particular bug existing in the computer program 4 is activated from simultaneously occurring in all of calculation nodes 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
