PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode-ray tube and its color selection electrode structure that can suppress variations in the widths of openings located at the endmost position of a color selection electrode. SOLUTION: The color selection electrode 7 has a region having holes 12 in which a number of slits 11 are formed and regions having no holes 13 formed on both ends in the H axis (major axis) direction of the region 12, and is pulled in the V axis (minor axis) direction by a frame 8. The regions having no holes 13 have a convex shape such that the width d2 of the center in the V axis direction is larger than the width d1 of both ends in the V axis direction. Hence, the deformation of the regions 13 are suppressed, and the width of the endmost slits 11 adjacent to the regions 13 are kept constant. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
