PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost when transporting and storing an air conditioner by reducing dimension of an outer shape of an outdoor unit of the air conditioner as much as possible. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit 1 of the air conditioner is provided with valves 24 to 27 provided on inner sides of side plates 5a, 5b of a main body case 2 to connect an inter-unit pipe, an opening part 35 formed on the side plates 5a, 5b to let the inter-unit pipe pass, and a valve cover 41 covering the opening part 35 and attached detachably. The valve cover 41 has a cover part 44 swelling outward. When the inter-unit pipe is not connected with the valves 24 to 27, the valve cover 41 is attached by facing the back so that the cover part 44 is recessed inward. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
