PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developer containing a red toner which exhibits stable positive charge properties even in long-time continuous printing, has excellent coloring power and hue, and obtains a high quality printed image excellent in color reproducibility. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developer comprises a toner containing a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent and a carrier as principal components, wherein the colorant contains 1-5 mass% of C.I. Pig. Red 48:1 based on the total toner, the charge control agent contains 0.5-3 mass% of a compound of formula 1 based on the total toner, and the carrier is a silicone resin coated carrier having a resistivity of 5-50 kΩm.
