PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently display histograms of pixels with different sensitivities and to perform photographing while surely referring to the histograms. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with an imaging part 12 including a light receiving element for receiving incident object light and converting the light into an image signal composed of an electric signal, a digital signal processing part 32 for applying various kinds of correction processings to the image signal from the imaging part 12, and a display part 35 for displaying an image that is imaged on the basis of the image signal to which correction processing is applied in the digital signal processing part 32. As the light receiving element of the imaging part 12, a light receiving element equipped with a plurality of pixels each including a main region and a sub region with different sensitivities, is used. A histogram calculation processing part 38 is provided for calculating the histograms of image signals from the main region and the sub region, and graphs of the histograms of the main region and the sub region calculated in the histogram calculation processing part 38 can be simultaneously displayed on the display part 35.
