PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staking machine and a staking method with which the good staking processing is performed without developing the strain on an including member, in the staking machine and the staking method used when a staking member is staked, in the case of fixing the including member contained in the inner part by staking the opening end part of the staking member composed of a bottomed cylindrical body. SOLUTION: This method is performed as the following processes, that is, a preliminary process, in which the whole circumference of the opening end part 74 of the staking member 12 is pushed while coextensively tumbling plurality of first staking rollers 10 and the whole circumference of the opening end part 74 is bent inward by arranging a bending part 79 with the necessary distance from the end edge part 75 to the staking part 23, and a finish process, in which the whole circumference of the opening end part 74 of the staking member 12 after the preliminary process, is pushed while coextensively tumbling plurality of second staking rollers 30 and the end edge part 75 is abutted to the including member 25 and also, the interval from the bending part 79 to the end edge part 75, is curled.
