WIRE DISPLACEMENT MEASUREMENT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an wire displacement measurement system of a simple configuration.

SOLUTION: The wire displacement measurement system projects a part of a collector shoe 8 of a pantograph by an image pickup device 2, and calculates the wire displacement based the three-dimensional image data of vertical pixels, horizontal pixels and gradation value obtained from the image pickup device 2. An illumination device 1 and the image pickup apparatus 2 installed on a vehicle roof are disposed so that the image pickup device 2 is projected including a shade portion N of the collector shoe 8 formed on a stretched wire 11 by the light of the illumination device 1. An image processor calculates the deflection of a wire 10 by selecting a portion without gradation on a screen formed with the stretched wire 11 in the shade of the collector shoe 8 out of the image data taken in from the image pickup device 2.
