<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a property management system that enables an efficient and easy check of the installation status of a property, and a property management method that enables an efficient and easy check of the installation status of a property. <P>SOLUTION: With correspondences between properties and radio tags registered in advance in a management server 12 on the Web 11, when a certain property is, for example, moved from an original installation position and the radio tag attached to the property is passed near a transmitter/receiver, the transmitter/receiver reads in tag information, and a property manager terminal 15 transfers it and also passage position/date-time information from the transmitter/receiver to the server 12.
