CROSS-CONNECTOR, OPTICAL CROSS-CONNECTOR, AND LINE RELIEF METHOD EMPLOYING THEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional line relief method that requires the efficient utilization of a band on the occurrence of a fault in networks interconnected in a mesh form and needs the high-speed rerouting of a line even on the occurrence of a fault in a node to which the line is set.

SOLUTION: Each node is provided with: a function for generating / transferring information with respect to line switching control in response to a detected fault and received switching control information; a function of deciding a transfer destination of the information; and a function of deciding a behavior such as the edit of lines of its own node so as to eliminate the need for re-setting the lines by a host apparatus for managing the network and to attain high-speed line relief.
