<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual band antenna by which a resonant frequency of each band can be easily and accurately controlled and a gain is not lowered when using the antenna, in the dual band antenna which is equipped with a radiating conductor vertical to the GND face of a printed circuit board to package components thereon and a radiating conductor connected to the tip of the vertical radiating conductor horizontal to the GND face, and in which the vertical radiating conductor and the horizontal radiating conductor are provided on a vertical substrate provided vertically to the GND face. <P>SOLUTION: When the ratio of the resonant frequency of a band having a long wavelength to the resonant frequency of a band having a short wavelength is defined as (x) and the ratio of a horizontal length L2 from one end of the radiating conductor comprising the band having the long wavelength to its other end to a horizontal length L1 from one end of the radiating conductor comprising the band having the short wavelength to its other end is defined as (y), the dual band antenna satisfies relations of y=e<SP>(x-1)/A</SP>(A is a constant) and 0.8≤A≤1.4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
