PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a conventional incubator for keeping a constant temperature is difficult to be applied to an automatic machine such as an automatic dispensation device because an operation for opening/closing a lid automatically is required, on background information that the incubator uses a procedure wherein a micro-plate is put in a closed chamber and the whole micro-plate or the bottom face is heated by heating the air to thereby keep the sample temperature constant, and thereby the lid to be opened or closed is required. SOLUTION: This incubator 1 to be provided is equipped with a means for heating each well bottom part of the micro-plate or absorbing the heat therefrom surely and uniformly by providing a heat block 5 for the micro-plate for accumulating the heat of the heat block, where a hollow coincident with each well bottom face shape of the micro-plate is formed, and a means for performing rocking operation, while heating it or absorbing the heat therefrom. Hereby, this inexpensive incubator can be acquired, dispensing with a troublesome work such as opening/closing of the lid, capable of keeping the sample temperature constant with high accuracy, while leaving the upper part of the micro-plate in the open state, and connectable easily to the automatic dispensing device or the like.
