METHOD FOR PRODUCING G PROTEIN CONJUGATION TYPE RECEPTOR PROTEIN (GPCR) WITH MAGNETIC FINE PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for preparing GPCR in its conformation-maintaining state. SOLUTION: GPCR is expressed as a protein fused with a film protein specific to a magnetic fine particle film or its fragment to present the GPCR on the magnetic fine particle film in a natural conformation-maintaining state. This method for producing the G protein conjugation type receptor protein (GPCR) comprises a process for proliferating a magnetic bacterium containing a gene encoding the GPCR in the form capable of expressing the GPCR, a process for isolating the magnetic fine particles from the magnetic bacteria, and then a process for obtaining the GPCR expressed on the magnetic fine particle films. The GPCR-containing magnetic fine particles obtained by the method and a method for detecting or screening a GPCR-bound substance by using the magnetic fine particles are also provided.
