PURPOSE: A method for repairing an insulating material is provided to apply an insulating material around a copper coil in a generator with a minimum labor by using an effective and economical solution. CONSTITUTION: A method for repairing an insulating material is used for repairing an insulating material(26) applied on at least one electric winding(24). A region to be repaired is identified. An epoxy(42) is applied on the region to be repaired. The epoxy is coated with at least one of an adhesive tape(44) and a removing film(44). The epoxy is solidified. Before the application of the epoxy on the region to be repaired, the insulating material is rinsed adjacent to the region to be repaired.
