The invention relates to an electronically commutated brushless direct current motor which comprises at least one cover for axially closing a motor housing. The aim of the invention is to provide a BLDC motor that can be safely operated at elevated operating temperatures. For this purpose, the cover is configured as a high-temperature synthetic plug-in module (1) and the current paths are configured as an extrusion-coated high-temperature pressed screen.
