An improved grip (1) for wire pulling machine is attached to the pulling disc without conventional couplings. The grip has one or two profiles which have a rolling contact with the disc (2) and which are made of a material which absorbs the pulling forces by erosion. The profiles are separately fitted to the grips and are easily replaced when worn. The design is suitable for ceramic pulling discs.
