<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food composition retaining biological effect owing to a proanthocyanidin and solving the problem on the protein astringency inherent in the proanthocyanidin. <P>SOLUTION: The food composition contains the proanthocyanidin and peptide(s) ≤7,000 in average molecular weight, wherein it is preferable that the proanthocyanidin include ≥1 pt.wt. of dimeric to tetrameric proanthocyanidins based on 1 pt.wt. of pentameric or higher proanthocyanidins. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
