The invention relates to amino and/or ammonium-polysiloxane compounds comprising reactive, functional groups and salts of said compounds, especial ly polyquaternary polysiloxane copolymers and the salts therefrom. The inventio n also relates to methods for the production thereof, the use thereof for the surface treatment of substrates, such as natural or synthetic fibres or fibr e- type substrates, especially as wash-resistant hydrophilic softeners. The invention further relates to the use thereof in cosmetic formulations, and formulations which contain reactive amino- and/or ammonium-polysiloxane compounds and the salts thereof.
