<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost of a connector by cutting down the number of components, and by simplifying its manufacturing. <P>SOLUTION: This connector is provided with a base housing 2 wherein a hole part 2e for mounting a floating mechanism is formed and a projecting part 2a for disposing a plurality of linear contacts 3 is provided, a FPC 5 to connect the base housing 2 to a base substrate, and a holder member 6 mounted on the bottom side of the base housing 2 where the end parts of the contacts 3 are exposed.
