PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner provided with an outside air introduction device capable of ventilating indoor air simultaneously with operation of the air conditioner by attaching a diffuser for introducing outside air easily from above between a suction hole provided in a base and a rear part heat exchanger. SOLUTION: A communicating hole 2a corresponding to a wall hole C is provided in an installation plate 2, and an air suction hole 6a corresponding to the communicating hole 2a is provided on a rear face of the base 6. A duct flange 15 provided at one end of a duct 14 is attached to a peripheral fringe of the communicating hole 2a. A seal member 16 is provided between the installation plate 2 and the base 6. A nozzle 18 is provided at the other end of the duct 14, and a filter 19 is provided in an opening part of the nozzle 18. A communicating port 21 provided with an end connection 20 connected to the air suction hole 6a at one end and formed with larger diameter than the end connection at the other end is provided between the air suction hole 6a and the rear part heat exchanger 11. The diffuser 23 forming a nipping and holding piece 22 nipped and held among fins constituting the rear part heat exchanger 11 integrally is provided in the communicating port 21.
