METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NOBLE-METAL THIN FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an extremely thin film of a noble metal on an inorganic substrate.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the noble-metal thin film comprises immersing the inorganic substrate into a solution of a basic organic compound containing a thiol group to form the film of the organic compound on the substrate, subsequently immersing the substrate into an acidic aqueous solution containing noble metal ions, and electrochemically reducing the ions to deposit the noble metal on the surface.
