PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose in a living body by utilizing an ultrasonic wave without loading a patient. SOLUTION: A motor 26 rotatably drives a first rotation transfer part 28 to give a rotary force to a ring-shaped rotating part 16 through a second rotation transfer part 30. Thus, since the rotating part 16 specifies the radial position to be held at a holding part 34, the rotating part 16 is rotated without changing its central position. When the motor 26 rotatably drives the first rotation transfer part 28 to rotate the second rotation transfer part 30, since the second rotation transfer part 30 is screw-clamped with a first columnar member 32, the second rotation transfer part 30 vertically moves. Thus, the axial position of an ultrasonic probe 20 and a position in a surface perpendicular to the ultrasonic probe 20 are controlled by controlling the rotation and the vertical movement of the rotating part 16.
